This role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, is part of our future transition when the company separates. The position will transfer to the new, independent company, Solstice Advanced Materials, expected in late 2025 or early 2026.

As an R&D Engineer/Scientist II, you will be responsible for conducting research and development activities aligned with organizational goals. You will use your technical expertise to design and execute experiments, simulations, and analyses to develop new technologies and products.

You will have the opportunity to contribute to innovative solutions and influence the company's future. Collaboration with internal and external partners will be essential to leverage expertise and ensure R&D projects meet industry standards, regulatory requirements, and our quality and safety protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  1. Conduct research and development activities aligned with organizational goals.
  2. Design and execute experiments, simulations, and analyses to develop new technologies and products.
  3. Guide ideation, conceptualization, and prototyping of innovative solutions aligned with strategic goals.
  4. Collaborate with internal and external partners to leverage expertise and resources.
  5. Ensure R&D projects comply with industry standards, regulations, and quality and safety protocols.
  6. Contribute to strategies for bringing R&D innovations to market.

The application period is estimated at 40 days from the posting date, but may vary depending on business needs and candidate availability.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
  • 6+ years of experience in research and development within a technology or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in materials science, electronics, sensors, controls, or related fields.
  • Proven track record in technical guidance and project management.
VALUED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, or related fields.
  • Understanding of software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience in technology commercialization is a plus.
  • Passion for innovation and continuous learning.
