Our intention is that this role, dedicated to the Advanced Materials business, will be a part of this future transaction when the separation occurs. This position is intended to convey to the new, independent company, to be named Solstice Advanced Materials when the separation occurs. This is expected to occur in late 2025 or early 2026.

As an R&D Engineer/Scientist II, you will be accountable for conducting research and development activities in line with the organization's goals and objectives. You will utilize your technical expertise to design and conduct experiments, simulations, and analyses to drive the development of new technologies and products.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of innovative solutions and shape the future of the company. You will work with internal and external partners to leverage collective expertise and resources, ensuring that R&D projects adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Advanced Materials' quality and safety protocols.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct research and development activities in line with the organization's goals and objectives
  • Design and conduct experiments, simulations, and analyses to drive the development of new technologies and products
  • Guide the ideation, conceptualization, and prototyping of innovative solutions that align with Honeywell's strategic goals
  • Work with internal and external partners to leverage collective expertise and resources
  • Ensure that R&D projects adhere to industry standards, regulatory requirements, and Honeywell's quality and safety protocols
  • Contribute to the development of strategies for successfully bringing R&D innovations to market

The application period for the job is estimated to be 40 days from the job posting date; however, this may be shortened or extended depending on business needs and the availability of qualified candidates.

YOU MUST HAVE

  • 6+ years of experience performing research and development projects within a technology or manufacturing environment
  • Strong background in areas such as materials science, electronics, sensors, controls, or related fields
  • Proven track record of technical guidance and project management

  • Bachelor's degree or advanced degree in Chemistry, Engineering, Physics, or another related field
  • Solid insight into software development best practices, design patterns, and architecture ethics
  • Excellent thoughtful and problem-solving skills
