Job summary

Tex-Tech is seeking a New Product Development and R&D Engineer to join our Monmouth, ME site. The role focuses on developing and optimizing manufacturing processes for new and existing products, scaling from lab to pilot to full production, and documenting results.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering in textiles, chemical, mechanical, materials, or related field required.
• Textiles, Materials, and/or Coatings background preferred.
• 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, process engineering, product development, or related technical roles.
• Internship or co-op experience in a manufacturing or R&D environment preferred.
• Experience in Needle Punch Non-Wovens and/or 2D/3D weaving preferred.
• Basic understanding of laboratory practices, manufacturing processes, data analysis, chemistry, and engineering principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and ability to learn technical software and data tools.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents, specifications, and process instructions.

Responsibilities

• Process Development & Optimization: Develop and refine manufacturing processes; support scale-up from lab to production.
• Plant Trials & Technical Support: Prepare for plant trials, monitor data, and maintain logs; provide on-floor support.
• Product & Specification Support: Update product specifications and process sheets; assist with cost estimates and inquiries.
• Safety, Quality & Compliance: Follow Tex Tech safety protocols and support regulatory documentation.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with R&D, Quality, and Manufacturing; present findings in reports and meetings.
