Mohawk Industries, Inc. is seeking a Research and Development Engineer to advance new materials and products through research, design, and prototyping.

The role emphasizes lab testing, data analysis, and collaboration with product teams to translate laboratory work into scalable manufacturing processes. The candidate will work on developing processes and technologies, analyze test results, and help transfer innovations from the lab to production.

Formación

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field or equivalent education and/or experience.
• 2-4 years’ relevant experience or equivalent education and/or experience.
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes and quality control required.
• Able to set up, run and/or interpret results from a wide variety of laboratory test equipment.

Responsabilidades

• Use scientific and engineering principles to develop new materials and products as well as create detailed design specifications to support R&D and manufacturing projects.
• Conduct research to identify market trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
• Analyze data and scientific literature to inform the development process.
• Conceive and develop new process technologies.
• Perform accurate analyses, conduct research, and draw meaningful conclusions about potential job/work-area impacts.
• Collaborate with product managers and design teams to conceptualize new products or improvements to existing ones.
• Design and fabricate prototypes.
• Perform physical and analytical testing of laboratory prototypes using standard test equipment.
• Conduct experiments to test prototypes and validate product performance.
• Analyze test data and make design modifications based on results.
• Help to transfer new products and technologies from laboratory prototypes to production scale.
• Assist with process and technical support for R&D projects implemented in manufacturing.
• Performs other duties as needed.
