Job summary

Tessy Plastics Corp. in the United States is seeking an experienced Research and Development Engineer II to develop and refine product designs for manufacturability, including tooling specs and rapid prototyping methods, coordinating with Sales, Automation, Quality and Engineering.

You will lead prototype mold and pilot automation projects, drive DFM strategies, prepare TRL reports, and support OEM automation initiatives while applying advanced resin knowledge to optimize molding and assembly

Qualifications

College degree with 5+ years of experience required.
Proficiency in a 3D CAD package (SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor, Siemens NX) preferred.
Experience driving product development from pilot to scaled automation.
Medical device quality systems knowledge (FDA/ISO, PFMEA, CAPA) preferred.

Responsibilities

Own full development programs from proto mold/demold to lab operations and pilot automation.
Define TRL levels, design tooling specs, and ensure manufacturability.
Collaborate across Sales, Automation, Quality and Engineering to quote and support prototypes.
Prepare clear technical reports documenting TRL readiness and testing results.
