Job summary

Kadant Johnson in Three Rivers, MI seeks a results-driven R&D professional to advance fluid control products from concept through commercial deployment. You will collaborate with engineering, operations, and sales to evaluate concepts, solve challenges, and drive projects in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities include designing industrial process controls, performing proof-of-concept testing, and maintaining R&D test systems to support product development and continuous improvement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or engineering technology required.
• Ability to work in industrial environments.
• Travel on an as-needed basis for customer visits and field support.
• 3-D modeling with FEA/CFD experience preferred (SolidWorks).
• Experience with industrial control systems (PLC, VFD, I/O, instrumentation).
• Knowledge of control logic (OPTO 22, Rockwell, AB, etc.).
• Familiarity with steam/condensate systems and fluid seals.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from discovery to commercial implementation.
• Drive innovation and identify new product opportunities.
• Design and implement industrial process controls.
• Develop proof-of-concept tests for fluid control equipment.
• Help create and maintain R&D test machines and controls.
