Job summary

Solstice Advanced Materials seeks an R&D Engineer/Scientist to lead development and commercialization of advanced packaging materials. You will partner with customers and cross-functional teams to translate market needs into scalable solutions for next-generation semiconductor technologies.

The role emphasizes technical leadership, data-driven decision making, and close collaboration with external partners to drive growth and ensure manufacturing readiness within Solstice’s innovation roadmap.

Qualifications

• Master's degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Polymer Science, or Chemistry.
• 3+ years of hands-on industry or research experience in packaging module development involving assembly materials.
• Proven experience bridging R&D with customer needs as a technical liaison.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and commercialization of materials for advanced semiconductor packaging from concept to launch.
• Partner with customers to understand challenges and identify new product opportunities.
• Generate data via simulation, modeling, and testing to solve thermal management challenges.
• Collaborate with R&D, manufacturing, quality, marketing, and technical services to scale concepts into production.
• Establish material specs and qualification requirements for manufacturing readiness.
