Job summary

Olin is seeking a R&D Engineer Co-op in Angleton, Texas for a 6-month term (June–December). You will lead multiple hands-on projects, plan and execute lab experiments, analyze data, and communicate findings to the team.

As an undergraduate Chemical Engineering student with a minimum 3.0 GPA, you will contribute to epoxy-focused R&D and new product development while gaining practical industry experience. Housing stipend is available and full-time rotation is required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergraduate Chemical Engineering degree with a minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Must have completed sophomore year (60 credits) before first rotation.
• Available to work full-time (40 hours/week) during rotation; not eligible for virtual work.
• Must obtain TWIC and possess a valid US driver’s license.
• Olin does not sponsor; eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Focus

The R&D Engineer Co-Op supports Technical Services and R&D through data analysis, experiments, and research for Epoxy. This role will support efforts related to new product and applications development.

What You'll Do

• Lead a minimum of three hands-on projects throughout the term, to be defined at the beginning of the rotation based on department and business need.
• Plan and execute lab experiments in accordance with project plans.
• Analyze data, interpret results, and communicate findings.
• Conduct literature searches to increase technical understanding, identify gaps, and validate hypothesis.

What You'll Bring

• Enrolled at an accredited college or university majoring in an undergraduate Chemical Engineering degree program.
• Must have an overall grade point average of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale at all times throughout your time at Olin. An official transcript will be required each term. Cumulative GPA on current institution transcript will be used in transfer college situations.
• Must have completed sophomore year (or 60 completed credit hours) prior to first rotation with Olin.
• Ability to work full‑time (40 hours a week during normal business hours) during rotation; Not eligible for virtual work.
• Must be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification Credential) and possess a valid US Driver's license.
