Job summary

Omni One in Columbus, OH, is seeking a Research & Product Development Engineer to join a growing team. The role focuses on developing innovative product concepts for scalable, high-volume manufacturing and bringing ideas from concept through production.

The engineer will evaluate new materials and manufacturing methods, lead prototype development, and collaborate with customers to meet project objectives while ensuring high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated success designing electro-mechanical or other manufactured products.
• Experience with CATIA preferred; strong experience using comparable CAD software considered.

Responsibilities

• Conduct research and develop innovative product concepts with an emphasis on scalable, high-volume manufacturing.
• Evaluate emerging materials, technologies, and manufacturing methods to improve product performance, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.
• Lead prototype development activities, including testing, validation, reliability analysis, and design-for-manufacturing initiatives.
• Create and refine product designs using CAD software such as CATIA and other 2D/3D modeling tools.
• Partner with customers and stakeholders throughout the development process to ensure project objectives and requirements are achieved.
• Communicate effectively across cross-functional teams while fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
• Manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting while maintaining exceptional quality and attention to detail.
