Job summary

BD is seeking an R&D Electrical Engineer to support electrical and electronic hardware development for instrumented diagnostic systems. You will collaborate with software, mechanical, and systems teams to ensure reliability and regulatory compliance.

The role emphasizes design for manufacturability, testable electronics, and adherence to ISO 9001 and FDA cGMP. Strong communication and problem‑solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering required.
• Hands-on breadboard building and prototype testing experience.
• Experience with microcontrollers and MCU debugging tools.
• Proficient in schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Familiar with standard lab equipment (oscilloscope, logic analyzer, probes).
• Solid understanding of analog/digital circuits and sensors.

Responsibilities

• Support design and development of electrical, electronic and electro‑optic components for automated instruments.
• Participate in design reviews for modules and subsystems.
• Design and develop microcontroller‑based modules.
• Assess manufacturability and serviceability of designs.
• Collaborate across software, mechanical, systems, and manufacturing teams.
• Develop functional tests and conduct root‑cause analyses.
