Qualifications

• BS in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
• Hands-on experience building and testing breadboards and prototypes.
• Experience working with microcontrollers.
• Experience using schematic capture and PCB layout tools.
• Familiarity with oscilloscope, logic analyzer, MCU debug probes.
• Solid understanding of basic electronic circuits and components.
• Understanding of electro-mechanical components such as motors, relays.

Responsibilities

• Support the design and development of electrical, electronic and electro-optic components and systems for automated diagnostic instruments.
• Participate in design reviews for modules and subsystems.
• Design and develop microcontroller-based modules.
• Assess design suitability for manufacturability and serviceability.
• Follow Global Product Development System, ISO 9001, and FDA cGMP standards.
• Design for compliance to IVD and medical safety standards.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to solve design problems.
• Develop and execute functional tests for modules and systems.
• Conduct failure investigations and root-cause analyses.
