Job summary

Baltimore Aircoil Company, Inc. in Jessup, MD is offering a R&D Design and Testing Intern position.

You will support laboratory and testing facility improvements, assist with design, build, and commissioning of lab infrastructure, and help create CAD models and project documentation. The role involves equipment installation, testing, troubleshooting, and startup activities, plus collecting and analyzing data to inform engineering decisions across multiple programs.

Qualifications

• Majoring in Engineering (Mechanical, Aerospace, Mechatronics, Industrial, or Materials preferred).
• Juniors, Seniors, or MS students preferred.
• Comfortable working in hands-on laboratory/testing environment and using shop and power tools.
• Experience with 2D and 3D CAD required; experience with Autodesk Inventor preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Work with BAC's R&D Design & Testing team to support laboratory and testing facility improvement initiatives.
• Support the design, build, and commissioning of laboratory and test infrastructure.
• Create and update CAD models, layouts, drawings, and project documentation.
• Assist with equipment installation, testing, troubleshooting, and startup activities.
• Collect, analyze, and report project and operational data to support engineering decisions.
• Support facility improvement and continuous improvement projects across multiple engineering programs.
