Aerotek in Winston-Salem, NC is hiring immediately for a 1st shift R&D CNC machinist/programmer. Direct hire with pay between $68,000 and $111,000 per year, plus incentive bonus up to 8% of annual salary.

You will program, set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines (3 Axis-7 Axis, mills, lathes, EDM), develop CAM programs, analyze performance, and collaborate with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production to improve capabilities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of CNC machining, CNC programming, manufacturing engineering, or advanced CNC setup experience.
• Swiss machining and Swiss Lathe experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with multi-axis CNC machines up to 7 axes strongly preferred.
• Reading, writing, and editing CAM programs and CNC code required.
• Strong knowledge of G&M Code and CAM programming.

• Create and perform full machining processes for new and existing products.

HIRING IMMEDIATELY FOR 1st SHIFT R&D CNC MACHINIST/PROGRAMMERS IN WINSTON SALEM, NC!

PAY: $68,000 - $111,000/YR. TO START + PAY RAISES

INCENTIVE BONUS PAY POTENTIAL UP TO 8% OF ANNUAL SALARY!

THIS IS A DIRECT HIRE POSITION!

1ST SHIFT: 7 AM - 3:30 PM MONDAY - FRIDAY

JOB DESCRIPTION:

• Program, set up, operate, troubleshoot, and optimize CNC machining equipment.

• Work with 3 Axis-7 Axis machines including CNC Mills, CNC Lathes, EDM machines, and multi-axis CNC Machines.

• Develop and modify CNC programs using G&M Code and CAM programming software.

• Create and perform full machining processes for new and existing products, often producing prototype, first-run, and developmental components.

• Select tooling, fixtures, cutting parameters, and machining strategies to maximize efficiency and part quality.

• Troubleshoot machining, tooling, and programming issues while implementing permanent process improvements.

• Work with blueprints, engineering drawings, GD&T requirements, etc.

• Utilize quality gages such as calipers, micrometers, bore gages, thread gages, depth gages, go-no go gages, optical comparators, and other precision measuring equipment.

• Analyze machine performance, productivity, and utilization data to identify improvement opportunities.

• Work closely with Engineering, Maintenance, and Production teams to improve manufacturing capabilities.

SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• 5+ years of CNC machining, CNC programming, manufacturing engineering, or advanced CNC setup experience.

• Swiss machining and Swiss Lathe experience is strongly preferred.

• Experience with multi axis CNC machines up to 7 Axis is strongly preferred.

• Must have experience with reading, writing, and editing CAM software and CNC programs.

• Need to have strong knowledge of CNC programming using G&M Code as well as CAM Programming.

• Experience programming, setting up, and operating CNC lathes, CNC mills, EDM machines, and/or Multi-Axis CNC machining centers.

• Experience with prototype machining, process development, or low-volume/high-mix manufacturing is ideal.
