Job summary

Munzing North America is seeking an R&D Chemist for Industrial Fluids and Lubricants in Clover, SC. The role involves formulating and conducting standard lab tests to aid in specialty additive development, with some production support and raw material evaluation.

Travel to Bloomfield, NJ for training is required. You will work independently and with teams, analyze data, and present results to supervisors and customers, contributing to project success and new product introductions in the IFL

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related scientific field with 5+ years relevant experience in an R&D environment or related applications area.
• Experience with industrial fluids and lubricants is desirable but not required.
• Formulation experience is desired but not required.
• Experience presenting project results to customers is desirable but not required.
• Experience troubleshooting and implementing corrective actions per lab, manufacturing and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform standard laboratory and application testing per procedures and protocols.
• Record data and observations in digital notebooks and spreadsheets.
• Manage lab workflow for multiple projects in development and applications.
• Communicate results and progress to supervisor.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve challenges and support projects.
• Support manufacturing with new product scale-ups.
• Assist procurement by evaluating new raw materials.
• Interact with customers and present project updates and results.
• Develop skills to deliver technical presentations and participate in site visits/trade shows.
• Travel to Bloomfield, NJ for training as needed.
