Clariant is seeking a Chemist in Mt. Holly, NC to lead laboratory testing and development for industrial lubricants and related applications. You will translate customer needs into actionable lab projects, optimize formulations, and support product evaluations with data-driven recommendations.

The role involves collaboration with Sales and global R&D, travel up to 30%, and ensuring timely delivery of results. Onsite work in Mt.

Qualifications

• Requires a bachelor’s or master’s degree in Chemistry or related field.
• Minimum two years hands‑on lab experience in industrial/ applied chemistry, product development, or related environment; 3–5 years in application development/technical service preferred.
• Experience designing experiments, evaluating formulations, analyzing data, troubleshooting challenges; knowledge of formulation chemistry and additives preferred.

Responsabilités

• Design and execute lab experiments evaluating Clariant products in industrial lubricants and related applications.
• Assess formulation stability and performance; adapt and optimize existing formulations.
• Benchmark products against competitors and generate data to support recommendations.
• Collaborate with Sales/customers to understand challenges and support trials.
• Present lab findings during customer visits and technical discussions.
