Job summary

Amgen seeks a Senior Manager, R&D Budget Management & Execution, to lead end-to-end budget processes for assigned R&D organizations. You will partner with functional leaders and R&D Finance to translate strategy into accurate forecasts and financial plans.

You will develop leadership-ready reports, improve dashboards, and guide a team to ensure timely accruals, forecast updates, and control execution. A strong background in biotech finance and people leadership is required.

Qualifications

• Doctorate or master's degree in biotech/pharma business ops or analytics with relevant experience.
• Experience leading budget management, forecasting, and financial reporting.
• Strong partnering with R&D finance and cross-functional teams.
• Advanced Excel, data visualization, and analytics skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end budget management and execution for assigned R&D orgs.
• Partner with functional leadership to reflect strategy in forecasts.
• Translate changes into financial implications and actions.
• Develop leadership-ready financial reporting and narratives.
• Improve dashboards and analytics for timely insights.
• Drive governance, accruals, PO maintenance, and forecast updates.
• Collaborate with FP&A, Sourcing, and other partners.
