Job summary

HyperLight is seeking an R&D Operations & Automation Engineer Intern to join our Cambridge, MA team for a 12-16 week, full-time internship. The role focuses on improving R&D workflows, automation, and data-driven decision making within a fast-growing photonics environment.

You will work with cross-functional teams to plan, execute, and analyze development activities, building tools and dashboards to accelerate cycles and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's in a technical field related to photonics or engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support R&D project planning, tracking, and execution of experiments and engineering lots.
• Analyze R&D workflows to identify bottlenecks and inefficiencies.
• Develop automation solutions to streamline workflows and reduce manual work.
• Use programming, data analysis, and dashboards to automate recurring tasks.
