Job summary

Staffmark in Long Prairie, MN is seeking an R&D Food Technologist to develop and commercialize pasta, macaroni and cheese, and prepared pasta products. This direct hire role offers the chance to contribute to a growing team in a professional work environment.

You will support new product development from concept through commercialization, collaborate with marketing, R&D and operations, conduct testing, optimize ingredients, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain technical records.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or related field.
  • Experience in product development, R&D, or food manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of food formulation, commercialization, and product development processes.
  • Strong understanding of food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Passion for food innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and commercialize innovative pasta, macaroni and cheese, and prepared pasta products.
  • Support new product development from concept through commercialization.
  • Collaborate with marketing, R&D, product development, and operations teams to launch new products.
  • Conduct product testing, formulation, and process improvements.
  • Evaluate ingredients, materials, and manufacturing processes to optimize product quality and performance.
  • Assist with product trials, validations, and scale-up activities.
  • Ensure products meet quality, food safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Analyze market trends and consumer preferences to identify new product opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate product development documentation and technical records.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives and other R&D projects as assigned.
