Job summary

Connexion in Buffalo Grove, IL seeks a (S) Quotations Representative to assist the sales team by preparing cost estimates and quotes that drive profitable revenue. You will compile and organize bills of materials, leveraging product knowledge to identify the best solutions for customers.

Responsibilities include obtaining best cost information from manufacturers, computing cost and price estimates with consideration of inventory, freight, and other logistics, and maintaining accurate paperwork

Qualifications

Job Title: (S) Quotations Representative

Overview: Assists other employees by providing customer quotations that result in profitable sales revenue to the Company. Supports the overall sales strategy through efficient and timely responses to internal and external customers.

Typical Functions:

Prepares cost estimates of materials requested by Sales, Customer Service Representatives, and others. Compiles/organizes bills of material, utilizing knowledge of products to be manufactured and available service solutions; compares competing manufacturers' bills of material to determine the best solution for a customer. Itemizes tools, fixtures, or equipment to be purchased from outside sources. Contacts manufacturers directly or through local representatives to obtain best cost information. Computes cost and price estimates for materials using a variety of criteria such as inventory availability, competitive position, price validity, and other logistical considerations (freight, handling, staging, etc.); computes cost estimates for price escalation or abnormal freight charges. Maintains accurate paperwork and job files to facilitate smooth transition to other departments. Correlates all cost information within time frame of bid date and time needed by contractors and sales employees.

Shift and Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pm.

Compensation Details:

The expected rate of pay for this position is $20.00 per hour - $32.00 per hour, depending on experience.
