Job summary

Graybar Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a Quotations Specialist to manage the end-to-end quoting process, coordinating with sales, customer service, customers and manufacturers.

You will learn our product lines and pricing mechanics and use company systems to produce accurate, on-time quotes that support profitable sales. Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm, with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Customer service and communication skills required.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Knowledge of SAP and ability to work with Excel formulas.
• 2+ years experience preferred in quotations or related roles.
• High School education required; 2 year degree preferred.

Job description

Make a difference. As a Quotations Specialist, you will handle the quotations process from the time you receive the request to the time you submit the quote to the customer. You will communicate with Graybar sales representatives, customer service representatives, customers and manufacturer representatives to gather needed details to create your quotes. You will learn about our product lines and pricing mechanics, as well as the computer systems we use in order to provide quotations that result in profitable sales for the Company. In this role you will:

• Prepare cost estimates of material
• Contact factories and representatives to obtain cost information
• Collaborate with sales representatives and customer service representatives
• Form relationships with customers and suppliers to provide on-time and accurate quotations
• Compare manufacturers’ bills of material to ascertain and price any differences for complete comparisons

What you bring to the table:

• Customer service and communication skills
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Knowledge of SAP and ability to work with Excel formulas
• 2+ years experience preferred
• High School education
• 2 year degree in Business or related preferred

Compensation Details:

The expected pay rate for this position is $19.00 - $22.00 per hour depending on experience.

Shift and Hours:

Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm.
