Responsibilities

• Evaluate supplier quotations and negotiate pricing and lead times.
• Develop supplier relationships and monitor component availability.
• Support BOM data entry and interpretation of drawings.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, and Quality teams.
• Support continuous improvement of quoting processes.

EE Technologies, Inc. is an AS9100 and ISO 9001 certified contract manufacturer specializing in Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBA), electromechanical assemblies, cable and wire harness assemblies, and full-turn-key manufacturing solutions for aerospace, defense, industrial, and commercial customers.

We are seeking a motivated Junior Buyer or Engineering Tech. to join our team. This is an excellent opportunity for a Buyer, Purchasing Agent, Engineering Technician, Manufacturing Technician, or Supply Chain professional who wants to grow their career in manufacturing, sourcing, and cost estimating.

Position Summary

• Quote Engineer supports the preparation of customer quotations by analyzing Bills of Material (BOMs), sourcing components, obtaining supplier pricing, reviewing engineering documentation, and coordinating with customers, suppliers, engineering, manufacturing, and program management.
• This position plays a critical role in helping the company deliver accurate, competitive, and timely quotations for PCBA and electromechanical manufacturing projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Review customer RFQs, BOMs, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Generate material cost estimates, labor estimates, and lead time evaluations.
• Prepare turnkey manufacturing quotations for PCBA and electromechanical assemblies.
• Maintain quote databases and track quote status through completion.
• Assist in preparing final quote packages for management review and approval.
• Estimate cost for electronic components, hardware, mechanical parts, and outside services. Request and evaluate supplier quotations.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and delivery schedules when appropriate.
• Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and distributors.
• Monitor component availability and identify supply chain risks.
• Technical & Administrative Support
• Perform accurate BOM and part number data entry.
• Interpret engineering drawings and manufacturing documentation.
• Coordinate with Operations, Manufacturing, Engineering, Program Management, and Quality departments.
• Help resolve documentation, cost, and supplier issues.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to quoting and purchasing processes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 1-3 years of experience in purchasing, quoting, manufacturing, engineering support, supply chain, or related fields.
• Strong Excel and Microsoft Office skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Professional customer service attitude.

Preferred

• Experience in electronics manufacturing (PCBA) or electromechanical assembly.
• Familiarity with Bills of Material (BOMs), drawings, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience working with electronic component distributors such as DigiKey, Mouser, Arrow, Avnet, or similar suppliers.
• Understanding of ERP/MRP systems, Aptean M2M experience is a plus.
• Engineering Technician, Manufacturing Technician, or Buyer experience.
• Familiarity with aerospace and defense manufacturing environments.
