Job summary

Ferguson Enterprises is seeking a Waterworks Quotations Manager for a hybrid role based in Bismarck, ND, Fargo, ND, or Sioux Falls, SD. You will oversee quotation efforts across four markets and build material estimates and takeoffs for multiple projects.

You will work closely with sales, engineers, owners and contractors, lead a team of associates, develop vendor relationships, and ensure cost estimates meet project demands while adhering to safety standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction project management or estimating experience.
• Waterworks quotations knowledge is required.
• Experience with estimating software (PlanSwift, BidTracer, Salesforce, Planswift, Bluebeam, On Center).
• Knowledge of water & sewer construction materials is a plus.
• Strong multitasking and adaptability in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage quotation efforts across four markets (Bismarck, Fargo, Sioux Falls, Rapid City).
• Build material estimates and takeoffs for multiple markets.
• Coordinate with sales for feedback on quotations and product pricing.
• Consult with engineers, architects, owners, contractors on cost estimates.
• Follow up on quotes and source pricing from vendors.
• Analyze specifications, BOMs, and layouts to build estimates.
• Track actual costs versus bids as projects progress.
• Lead and develop a team of associates; ensure resources and schedules are met.
• Mentor less experienced team members.
• Develop vendor relationships to ensure service levels.
• Maintain safety compliance and company policies.
• Represent Ferguson to customers, associates, and leadership.

Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Waterworks Quotations Manager. This is a hybrid role that can be based out of any of our 3 markets that include (Bismarck, ND, Fargo, ND, or Sioux Falls, SD). An in-office presence in accordance with Ferguson’s Flex schedule; 3 days office / 2 days remote will be necessary.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee local quotation efforts and staff across our 4 markets that include Bismarck and Fargo, ND and Sioux Falls and Rapid City, SD.

• Builds project material estimates and performs material takeoffs as needed for multiple markets within the region.

• Daily communication with sales team to generate feedback and follow up of quotations process and product

• Confer with engineers, architects, owners, contractors and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates

• Follow up on customer quotes and contacts vendors for material pricing

• Analyze specifications, including sketches, blueprints, bills of material, or sample layouts to build material cost estimates

• Assess cost effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops

• Lead, direct, evaluate, and develop a team of associates to ensure the team’s resources are used effectively and work schedules and targets are met

• Provide direction and guidance to less experienced team members

• Develops and maintains relationships with key vendors and suppliers to ensure coordination and exceptional service levels

• Performs all work in accordance with established safety standards and adheres to all safety policies, rules, regulations and procedures

• Represent the organization to customers, associates and leadership as needed

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of construction related project management, project coordinator, quotations, or estimating experience, highly preferred
• Waterworks quotations or product knowledge is required
• Prior use of PlanSwift, BidTracer, Salesforce, or similar estimating software, highly preferred
• Familiarity with customer quotations software, such as Planswift, Blubeam, and On Center are highly preferred
• Construction experience with water & sewer and storm drain materials, a huge plus
• Knowledge of wastewater treatment plants, booster pumps, pump stations, a plus
• Ability to be flexible, adaptable and multitasking skills needed, including the ability to juggle multiple requests in a timely manner
• Self-starter, creative problem solver, and eagerness to learn and grow
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with people at multiple levels of the organization
• Ability to function effectively in an autonomous setting
• Proven attention to detail coupled with organizational skills

Pay Range:

$4,916.70 - $11,275.00

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
