Job summary

Star Hyundai in Abilene, TX is seeking a Quick Service Technician – Automotive. This entry-level role offers a clear path to grow your skills in a professional dealership environment and hands-on training with experienced technicians.

You will follow manufacturer procedures, perform routine maintenance, oil changes, tire rotations, brake inspections, and assist with diagnosing and repairs. A valid driver's license and a positive attitude are required.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license with acceptable driving record and pass a background check.
• Previous automotive experience is preferred, but not a requirement
• Automotive school/technical training is preferred, but not a requirement
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Positive attitude and professional demeanor
• Must have or be willing to obtain necessary professional hand tools.

Responsibilities

• Follow manufacture and dealer written procedures
• Perform routine vehicle maintenance and inspections
• Perform engine oil and oil filter changes
• Perform tire rotations, tire repairs, tire mounting, and balancing
• Replace batteries, belts, wiper blades, air filters, and other maintenance items.
• Perform brake inspections and basic brake repairs and services
• Inspect and maintain vehicle fluid levels
• Identify and communicate recommended maintenance and repairs
• Perform multi-point inspections and complete vehicle health report
• Structure and build repair estimates
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Complete work efficiently while maintaining quality standards
• Completing quality control inspections
• Assist other technicians as needed while developing diagnostic and repair skills from experienced technicians
