Quick Lube Tech (Entry Level) – Automotive

$12.50 per hour to start for qualified applicants!

As a quick lube tech, you'll be responsible for inspecting and lubricating vehicles efficiently. With dedication and hard work, your career can grow within our dealership. Job Responsibilities

1. Perform multipoint inspections
2. Communicate additional service/repair needs to service advisors
3. Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns
4. Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shackles
5. Check tire pressure
6. Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
7. Drain oil from crankcase and refill with required amount of oil
8. Add water to radiator and battery
9. Replace oil and air filters
10. Inspect all vehicles for additional repairs
11. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and codes of conduct
12. Follow dealership safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, and harsh chemicals

Qualifications

1. Must meet dealership’s requirements for employment
2. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
3. Familiarity with all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
4. Must have a valid driver license and be able to operate manual transmissions
5. Prior experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice is preferred
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

1. Occasional exposure to inclement weather
2. Ability to operate an automobile
3. Prolonged periods of standing, stooping, and bending
4. Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects
5. Requires significant walking and/or standing; may involve working in seated positions for long periods while operating controls; may require working at a production pace while pushing and pulling materials
