Express Lube Technician (Advanced Level)

As a quick lube tech, you'll be responsible for inspecting and lubricating vehicles efficiently and thoroughly. With hard work and dedication, your career growth has no limits. Job Responsibilities

1. Perform multipoint inspections
2. Communicate additional service and repair needs to service advisors
3. Service universal joints, grease fittings, and steering knuckles using hand- or compressed-air powered grease guns
4. Inspect fluid levels in steering gears, power steering reservoirs, transmissions, differentials, rear axle housings, and shackles
5. Lubricate moving parts with specified lubricants
6. Drain oil from crankcase and refill with the required amount
7. Add water to radiators and batteries
8. Replace oil and air filters
9. Inspect vehicles for additional repairs
10. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, safety standards, and codes of conduct
11. Follow dealership safety procedures to avoid exposure to fumes, dirt, and harsh chemicals

Compensation: $18.00 per hour for advanced level

Qualifications

1. Must meet dealership’s employment requirements
2. Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and information
3. Familiarity with all aspects of automotive repair and maintenance
4. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate manual transmissions
5. Prior experience as a technician’s helper or apprentice is preferred
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Physical Requirements and Working Conditions

1. Occasional exposure to inclement weather
2. Ability to operate an automobile
3. Prolonged standing, stooping, and bending
4. Occasional exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force; frequent exertion of 10 to 25 pounds; constant exertion of less than 10 pounds to move objects
5. Must be capable of working in a standing or seated position for extended periods, often at a production pace involving pushing and pulling materials
