Job summary

Peltier Automotive Group is seeking a Quick Lube Technician in Longview, TX. The role focuses on testing, diagnosing, and repairing vehicles with attention to safety and quality.

You will work with diagnostic equipment, perform routine maintenance, and communicate findings with the team. A strong automotive background and ASE certification or technical degree are preferred; HS diploma or GED is required.

Qualifications

• One year in a service department.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ASE Certification or technical degree preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Test to check systems and components are secure and functioning.
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem.
• Drive the vehicle for testing and inspect and refill fluid levels as needed.
• Ensure tire pressure is correct, clean and lubricate fittings.
• Install a new oil drain plug and oil filter and report oil levels to teammates.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles with accuracy and efficiency.
• Repair or replace worn parts before failure or damage.
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools as required.

Responsibilities

• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

Qualifications

• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment
• High School Diploma or GED (required)
• ASE Certification/Technical degree (preferred)
• One year in a service department
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
