Job summary

Runde-Chevrolet--buick--gmc in Platteville, WI seeks a Quick Lube Technician with automotive background and ASE certification or technical degree to join our team. You will test systems, drive vehicles for testing, and diagnose and repair as needed.

Responsibilities include checking systems, isolating issues, maintaining fluids, tire pressure, oil changes, tool use, and communicating oil levels to teammates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• ASE certification or a technical degree is preferred.
• One year in a service department is ideal.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to learn new technology and repair procedures.
• Strong diagnostic and automotive knowledge for quick diagnostics.

Responsibilities

• Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly.
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem.
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary.
• Ensure tire pressure, inflate properly, and lubricate fittings as needed.
• Perform oil changes, install new drain plug and filter, and communicate oil levels to teammates.
• Maintain accuracy in diagnosing and repairing vehicles.
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of breakdowns or damage.
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform tasks.

The day-to-day duties of this role include testing check systems to ensure they are working properly, driving vehicles for test purposes, and accurately diagnosing and repairing vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks

• Effective analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve
