Job summary

Runde Chevrolet Buick GMC is seeking a Quick Lube Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong automotive background and ASE certification or technical degree.

The role involves testing vehicle systems, driving for test purposes, and diagnosing and repairing vehicles with attention to safety and quality. You will work on routine maintenance tasks, inspect fluids, tire pressures and lubrication, and communicate findings to teammates.

Qualifications

• Must have strong automotive knowledge and fast diagnostic abilities.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills and eagerness to improve.
• Ability to learn new technology, repair and service procedures and specifications.
• Ability to operate electronic diagnostic equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• ASE Certification or technical degree is preferred.
• One year in a service department is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record.

Responsibilities

• Test systems and components to ensure they are secure and working properly.
• Isolate systems or components that may have caused the problem.
• Drive vehicle for testing and inspect/ refill fluid levels as needed.
• Ensure proper tire pressure, clean and lubricate fittings.
• Install fresh oil drain plug and oil filter and report oil levels to team.
• Diagnose and repair with accuracy and efficiency.
• Repair or replace worn parts to prevent breakdowns.
• Use power tools, hand tools and machine tools to perform tasks.

Responsibilities

• Test to check systems and components are secure and working properly
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes and inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation, clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Install a new oil drain plug and new oil filter and communicate oil levels to teammates
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks
