Job summary

Palmen Auto Stores Group is hiring an automotive technician to test, inspect, diagnose, and repair vehicles on-site. The role emphasizes accuracy, efficiency, and proactive maintenance with opportunities for advancement within a community-focused dealership.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, valid driver’s license, and preferably ASE certification. A one-year service department background is beneficial, and a commitment to customer service excellence is expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• ASE Certification/technical degree preferred.
• One year in a service department is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Test systems and components to ensure they are secure and working properly.
• Isolate systems or components that may have caused the problem.
• Drive the vehicle for testing and inspect/ refill fluids as needed.
• Check tire pressure for proper inflation; clean and lubricate fittings.
• Install a new oil drain plug and oil filter; communicate oil levels to teammates.
• Diagnose and repair vehicles with accuracy and efficiency.
• Repair or replace worn parts before breakdown or damage occurs.
• Use power tools and machine tools to perform tasks.

Responsibilities
