Job summary

A reputable automotive dealership in Texas is looking for a skilled vehicle technician. Responsibilities include testing vehicle systems for security and functionality, isolating issues, and maintaining efficiency in repairs. Candidates should possess at least a high school diploma and have a strong knowledge of automobiles, along with effective analytical and communication skills. ASE certifications and a technical degree are preferred. This role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds and work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Test to check whether systems and components are secure and working properly.
• Isolate the systems or components that might have caused the problem.
• Drive the vehicle for testing purposes.
• Maintain efficiency and accuracy in diagnosing as well as repairing vehicles.
• Repair or replace worn parts ahead of the vehicle’s breakdown or damage.
• Use power tools, machine tools, and common hand tools to perform various tasks.

Qualifications

• Ability to identify the problem quickly.
• Good knowledge of automobiles.

• Good reading, computer, and mathematics skills.
