Responsibilities

• Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter.
• Clean and lubricate fittings as needed.

We're hiring an automotive Lube Technician at Sunset Ford St. Louis.

Career Path: We strategically place technicians in positions that fit their strengths, provide training to advance skills, and goal is to progress to a Quick Lane Technician within 12 months of hire. Responsibilities will include mounting tires, performing alignments, brake replacement, Ford recalls, fluid exchanges with confidence.

Responsibilities

• Check and communicate oil level to teammates
• Ensure tire pressure for proper inflation
• Inspect and refill fluid levels as necessary
• Complete vehicle inspection
• Install a new oil drain plug and a new oil filter
• Clean and lubricate fittings as needed
• Utilize a company supplied computer to document vehicle findings and communicate details
• Provide excellent customer service keeping in mind that our customer’s perspective comes first

Qualifications

• Previous experience at an automotive facility or enrolled in an automotive school program
• Strong understanding or desire to learn about automotive service
• Years of experience vary per position
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Dexterity, requiring a steady hand, excellent hand-eye coordination
• Strong mechanical aptitude
