Job description

Primary Objective

To plan, implement, and supervise theme-based summer day camp program for middle school children. To ensure a safe and fun atmosphere for all participants.

Assignment

30 - 40 hours/week, July 17, 2026 - August 19, 2026

Wage

$24/hr. (Not medical or dental benefit eligible.)

Job Responsibilities
  • Help plan enriching curriculum and program goals for 10 one-week camp programs
  • Plan and carry out age‑appropriate activities consistent with class goals
  • Manage classroom, outdoor activities, and field trips; supervise and provide guidance for participants.
  • Provide a safe, caring, fun environment for children.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Responsible for camp cell phone and purchase card.
Job Qualifications
  • B.A. or B.S. degree in education, child development, recreation, or a related field; teaching license preferred.
  • Evidence of successful experience working with middle school aged students.
  • Evidence of successful program leadership.
  • Evidence of positive interpersonal skills; ability to relate well to children and adults.
  • Ability to work under minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Proven record of punctuality and responsibility.
