Job summary

Hinkle Contracting is seeking an experienced equipment operator to join our Kentucky quarry team. This full-time role works with laborers to move materials, operate front-end loaders and other heavy machinery, and support daily production in a busy quarry atmosphere.

You'll report to the Quarry Foreman, perform daily maintenance and safety checks, and follow procedures. A minimum of 5 years' experience, valid driver’s license, and the ability to pass drug and background checks are required.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of experience operating heavy equipment.
• Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment (loaders, excavators, dozers) safely and efficiently.
• Perform daily pre-start up procedures and equipment checks.
• Communicate with the Foreman on daily job specs and priorities.
• Assist with labor tasks as required and maintain equipment cleanliness.
