Job summary

Quality Talent Group client in building automation and industrial technology seeks experienced heavy equipment operators for outdoor mining settings. You will operate rock drills, wheel loaders, bulldozers, and haul trucks on two shifts, including weekends, in dusty, noisy environments and at heights.

Qualifications

• 1 year of heavy equipment operating in a manufacturing environment.
• Must work on a two‑shift basis; weekends required.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Adhere to safety protocols and PPE use (Amrize approved).

Responsibilities

• Operate mobile equipment to mine rock (rock drills, wheel loaders, bulldozer, haul trucks, motor grader, fuel tanker, hydraulic rock breaker).
• Perform mechanical maintenance checkouts and troubleshoot breakdowns.
• Monitor and react to quality issues and adjust mining patterns as needed.
• Maintain documentation and organize work; participate in team activities.
• Commit to health, safety and environmental policies in all work areas.

Qualifications

• 1 year of a heavy equipment operating in a manufacturing environment
• Required to work outside, at heights, warm temperatures, and at times around and over water, in dusty environments and confined spaces.
• Must operate on a two shift basis and incumbents will predominantly work these two shifts, weekends are required.
• Ability to work in a team based environment.
• Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Amrize approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE").

Responsibilities

• Operation of mobile equipment required to mine rock (For example: Rock drills, wheel loaders, bulldozer, haul trucks and water trucks, motor grader, fuel tanker, hydraulic rock breaker)
• Perform mechanical maintenance check-outs, troubleshoot mechanical breakdowns and do minor preventative maintenance on mobile equipment
• Monitor and react to quality issues (For example: sample drill holes, monitor quality feedback information & adjust mining pattern as necessary)
• Maintain documentation, plan and organize work, participate in various team activities
