Job summary

Our client in the building automation and industrial technology sector seeks a skilled equipment operator to manage front end loaders, dozers, backhoes, graders, excavators and skid steers at a quarry site in Illinois. The role requires the ability to work outdoors in varying weather and to perform rigorous physical tasks.

Responsibilities include performing pre-shift inspections, adjusting material blends as required, communicating with quality personnel, and correcting malfunctions to ensure

Qualifications

• Reads and writes proficiently, basic literacy required.
• Strong physical endurance for outdoor work in all weather.
• Ability to operate and troubleshoot heavy equipment.
• Experience with heavy machinery and quarry operations preferred.
• Must be able to perform demanding physical tasks year-round.

Responsibilities

• Operate front end loaders, dozers, backhoes, graders, excavators and skid steers.
• Move and manage quarry equipment based on operational needs.
• Inspect equipment at each shift; fill inspection sheets and report issues.
• Correct malfunctions or irregularities in operating equipment.
• Maintain communication with quality personnel and adjust material blends as required.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write

• Experience working in varying weather elements; quarry experience preferred
• Experienced with operating/maintaining and troubleshooting heavy equipment
• Ability to perform rigorous physical activities in all weather conditions
