Job summary

Standard Construction Co. is hiring a Quarry Plant Operator to perform a variety of laboring tasks, from lubrication and cleaning to painting and mechanical assistance, under the plant foreman’s guidance. The role requires working with crushers and washers, and may involve travel and off-hours shifts.

A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1–2 years of related experience preferred. Expect to work in a heavy-duty environment with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; 1–2 years related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out written or oral instructions.
• Ability to work various shifts (days, nights, swings).

Responsibilities

• Maintain aggregate crusher, washer, and surrounding environment for safe and efficient operation.
• Shoveling, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting, tire work, and mechanical assistance.
• Communicate production issues to supervisor or lead person.
• Travel and work away from home when required; nights and weekends as needed.
• Report to work at the designated start time and work overtime when required.
• Other duties as assigned per supervisor.
