Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc. is seeking a Quarry Plant Groundsman to perform a variety of laboring tasks including lubrication, shoveling, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting, tire work and basic mechanical assistance.

The role supports crusher and washer operations and may advance toward heavy equipment operator with training. The position requires a high school diploma or GED and 1–2 years related experience, plus ability to read and follow simple instructions, basic math, and work in varying shifts,

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required; 1–2 years related experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
• Ability to write simple correspondence.
• Ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide).
• Ability to work various shifts (days, nights, swings).

Responsibilities

• Maintaining aggregate crusher, washer, and surrounding environment for safe operation.
• Shoveling, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting, tire work; provide mechanical assistance.
• Communicate production issues to supervisor or lead person.
• Able to work overtime and travel as required.
• Report to work at designated start time; work nights and weekends when needed.
