Job summary

APAC Mississippi, Inc. in Mississippi is seeking a Quarry Plant Operator to maintain crushers and washers and ensure safe, efficient operation of the plant.

The role involves heavy labor, painting, and mechanical assistance under the plant foreman with potential travel and night/weekend shifts. A high school diploma or GED is required, with 1–2 years related experience preferred. EOE and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• One (1) year related experience preferred.
• High School diploma or GED required; one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos; write simple correspondence.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
• Ability to work various shifts (days, nights, swings).

Responsibilities

• Maintain aggregate crusher, washer, and surroundings to ensure safe and efficient operation.
• Shoveling, sweeping, steam cleaning, painting, tire work, mechanical assistance; lifting, pushing and pulling objects.
• Communicate production issues to supervisor or lead person.
• Able to work overtime and travel as required.
• Other duties as assigned per supervisor.
