You will work with geologists, operations teams, and project managers to deliver approved plans, supervise surveying, and administer mining contracts, while advancing environmental and production goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mining Engineering from an accredited college or university.
• 2+ years’ experience performing mining engineering duties at surface operations; new grads with co-op experience will be considered.
• Safety-focused with a proactive attitude towards mine safety.
• Experience with regulatory authorities at various levels (MSHA, USEPA, and others).
• Experience with Hexagon MineSight 3D or similar software.
• Experience with Fleet Management Systems – Cat or similar.
• Aptitude for contract agreement execution and administration.

Responsibilities

• Develop mine plans and production schedules using geologic data.
• Support surveying, mapping, and stockpile/strip surveys.
• Administer contract mining agreements and reporting.
• Interface with regulatory personnel and ensure safety/environmental standards.
• Participate in capital project planning and budget development.
