Job summary

Carmeuse Lime & Stone Inc. is seeking a Site Operations Manager in Kentucky to lead mining and production operations, ensuring safety, regulatory compliance, and efficient performance. The role requires strong leadership, budgeting, and continuous improvement focus.

The successful candidate will oversee production planning, quality control, and stakeholder engagement while driving cost reduction and capital project execution for site success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mining, Business or related field.
• 5+ years' progressive experience in mining/heavy industrial/engineering industry.
• 5+ years' managerial experience with increasing responsibility.
• Fluency in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Create and sustain a zero-injury culture and safety initiatives.
• Lead site safety, ensure compliance with MSHA rules, and allocate resources and budget accordingly.
• Monitor environmental compliance and housekeeping standards.
• Interface with regulatory agencies and maintain community relations.
• Develop and execute site plans for company initiatives.
• Ensure product quality and adjust production plans to meet customer needs.
• Understand and follow the collective bargaining agreement.
• Implement training plans for safe and effective job performance.
• Drive site performance through continuous improvement, MOC, RCA, and standard processes.
• Oversee capital projects, industrial plan, and prioritization of investments.
• Monitor KPIs and implement improvement plans.
• Manage overtime and daily production plans; optimize staffing levels.
• Control costs and pursue cost-reduction initiatives aligned to budgets.
• Develop business plans and budgets and achieve approved goals.
• Support development and mentoring of direct reports.
