Job summary

Heidelberg Materials is seeking a loader operator to move and load aggregates within a quarry environment. You will operate heavy equipment, perform pre-shift inspections, and maintain a clean, safe work area while following PPE requirements and safety policies.

You will collaborate with truck drivers and plant operators to coordinate loading activities and monitor material quality. This role may include basic maintenance tasks and adherence to safety regulations in varying weather conditions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience operating heavy equipment, especially front-end loaders, in quarry/construction.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Strong safety commitment and compliance with regulations.
• Physical ability for strenuous tasks in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Operate front-end loaders and other heavy equipment to load trucks, crushers, and stockpiles with aggregates.
• Perform pre-shift inspections and report malfunctions.
• Maintain clean and organized work area.
• Adhere to safety policies and PPE.
• Communicate with truck drivers, plant operators, and quarry personnel.
• Monitor material quality and report inconsistencies or contamination.
• May perform basic maintenance tasks like greasing and cleaning.
