Job summary

Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. is seeking workers to join our team in a safety-focused, outdoor construction environment. You will learn the drilling and blasting industry with a majority employee-owned company.

Starting pay is $18-$20 per hour, with stipends for travel and opportunities for training and development within a stable, growing organization. Must be able to follow instruction from Supervisors, perform labor tasks, and comply with safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be safety-minded and able to work outdoors in varying weather.
• Must be able to perform job-specific instruction provided by Superintendents.
• Out of town travel and overtime may be required.
• Experience in construction preferred.
• Must successfully pass ATF screenings.

Responsibilities

• Must adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies
• Physical agility
• Submit time cards weekly
• Ability to learn safety aspects of construction sites and explosives
• Perform construction laboring activities
• Work unsupervised occasionally
• Load/Unload explosives from truck
• Carry stemming stone to blast holes
• Maintain clean and organized job site
• Attend meetings and participate in safety talks
