Job summary
Maine Drilling & Blasting Inc. seeks an entry-level laborer to support drilling and blasting operations in Vermont. You’ll learn under superintendents and foremen, follow safety procedures, and work outdoors in varying weather.
Starting pay is $18–$20 per hour with travel stipends. The company is employee-owned with ESOP and 401(k) plus comprehensive benefits. We value reliability and safety-mindedness, with opportunities to learn new skills on site.
Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License with good driving record and own transportation; travel out of town/state required.
- Must successfully pass ATF screenings.
- Experience with construction labor and heavy equipment preferred.
- Ability to learn and develop skills to perform higher level tasks.
Responsibilities
- Must adhere to Company Safety procedures and policies.
- Physical agility to perform laboring tasks outdoors.
- Submit weekly time cards accurately and on time.
- Learn safety aspects of construction sites and explosives handling.
- Take direction and perform laboring activities.
- Work unsupervised occasionally.
- Attend meetings and participate in daily safety briefings.
