Job summary

Martin Marietta in Cloverdale is seeking a prompt, hard-working Equipment Operator to join our surface mine team. The role covers operating a variety of heavy equipment, aiding plant operations, and supporting maintenance tasks as needed.

You'll perform pre/post-shift inspections, help with loading and shipping, and cross-train across plant areas while maintaining a high standard of safety and housekeeping in a demanding outdoor environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of related experience is required.
• Valid US Driver's License is required.
• Heavy Equipment Operations and Welding/Maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in plant operations including production, quality control, loading and shipping.
• Assist with preventative and routine maintenance on mobile and plant equipment.
• Must be willing to cross train in all plant areas.
• Learn to operate plant-specific mobile equipment.
• Perform daily pre/post-shift inspections and maintain maintenance log.
• Maintain good housekeeping in areas of responsibility.
