SRM Concrete (Smyrna Ready Mix) seeks a Heavy Equipment Operator for our quarry operations team. You will operate bulldozers, front-end loaders, excavators, and other machinery safely to keep production moving and uphold safety and quality.

You will perform daily checks, coordinate with site management, and help maintain equipment. Successful candidates have proven heavy equipment experience, valid certification, strong safety knowledge, and the physical ability to work in a fast-paced

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator, preferably within a quarry or similar industrial setting.
• Valid certification in operating heavy machinery.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and techniques for efficient goods distribution.
• Strong understanding of industry safety standards and regulations.
• Mechanical aptitude with ability to perform minor repairs on equipment.
• Excellent coordination and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• High level of physical fitness and strength.
• Willingness to undergo SRM’s pre-employment screenings.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment such as bulldozers, front-end loaders, excavators, and other quarry machinery safely.
• Perform daily safety and maintenance checks on equipment.
• Coordinate with site management to plan, execute, and monitor material movement within the quarry.
• Adjust equipment settings and controls to meet project requirements.
• Identify maintenance needs and minimize downtime to maintain productivity.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment and report hazards.
• Participate in ongoing training and safety policies.
• Work closely with the team to move materials efficiently and meet deadlines.
