Job summary

Martin Marietta is seeking an Equipment Operator to join our team in New Windsor, Maryland. The ideal candidate is safety conscious, dependable and motivated and will operate a variety of off-road vehicles and heavy equipment in mining.

Typical duties include daily pre/post inspections, safe operation around conveyors and crushers, basic preventative maintenance, maintaining safe traffic flow, and assisting in training coworkers. Hours are 6 AM–4 PM, weekends as necessary.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience.
• Experience with mobile equipment and heavy equipment preferred.
• Experience operating off-road vehicles and heavy equipment is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Operate off-road vehicles and heavy equipment in mining.
• Perform pre- and post-inspections of equipment and worksites.
• Inspect and maintain equipment, report needed repairs.
• Ensure safe operations around conveyors, piles, and crushers.
• Assist in training co-workers as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
