Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a dependable Heavy Equipment Operator to work at our quarry in Georgia. The role requires operating front end loaders, excavators, haul trucks, dozers, and graders with precision, while adhering to strict safety standards.

You will perform routine inspections, manage materials on site, and coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure equipment reliability. Strong teamwork and adaptability in varying conditions are essential for success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade school diploma or certificate in equipment operation highly desired.
• Proven experience operating heavy equipment in quarry or similar environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate front end loaders, excavators, haul trucks, dozers, and graders safely and efficiently.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Load/unload materials including raw materials, finished products, and waste.
• Excavate/move earth and rock to support quarry operations.
• Maintain haul roads and work areas for safe traffic flow.
• Assist with stockpile management, plant feeding, and general site maintenance.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Adhere to safety protocols and wear required PPE.
