Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company in Georgia is seeking a Multi-Skilled Equipment Operator to safely operate heavy equipment in a crushed stone quarry environment. The role requires proficiency with loaders, excavators, haul trucks, and other equipment to support production goals.

You will perform inspections, load materials, excavate and move earth, maintain haul roads, and collaborate with maintenance teams to ensure reliability and safety on site.

Qualifications

• Experience operating heavy equipment in a quarry or similar industrial setting.
• Ability to perform routine maintenance checks and identify basic mechanical issues.
• Commitment to safety and following established procedures.

Responsibilities

• Safely and efficiently operate equipment (front end loaders; excavators; haul trucks; dozers; graders).
• Maintain precise control of equipment across varying terrain and weather conditions.
• Perform pre-and post-trip inspections and report maintenance needs or safety concerns.
• Load and unload materials, including raw materials, finished products, and waste materials.
• Excavate and move earth, rock, and other materials to support quarry operations.
• Maintain haul roads and work areas for safe traffic flow.
• Assist in stockpile management, plant feeding, and general site maintenance.
• Perform basic maintenance checks on all equipment operated.
• Collaborate with maintenance teams for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
