Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking a Multi-Skilled Equipment Operator to safely and efficiently operate heavy equipment in our quarry environment. You will demonstrate proficiency with loaders, excavators, haul trucks, and other equipment to support quarry operations and production goals.

The role emphasizes safety, adherence to MSHA regulations, teamwork, and reliable maintenance of equipment in varying weather and terrain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Trade school diploma or certificate in equipment operation highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a variety of heavy equipment (loaders, excavators, haul trucks, dozers, graders).
• Maintain precise control of equipment across varying terrain and weather.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report safety concerns.
• Load and unload materials including raw materials and waste.
• Excavate and move earth, rock, and materials to support quarry ops.
• Maintain haul roads and work areas for safe traffic flow.
• Perform basic maintenance checks and assist maintenance teams.
• Collaborate with maintenance for repairs and preventive maintenance.
• Other duties as assigned.
