Qualifications

• Advanced degree in physics, engineering, CS, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in a related technical field.
• 5+ years of leadership experience.
• Proven expertise in trapped-ion or cold atom physics.
• Experience in the quantum computing industry.

Responsibilities

• Own system-level design, build, and development for next-gen Quantinuum systems, including architecture, operation concepts, procurement, and validation.
• Guide technical trade studies and analyses to reduce risks and mature concepts into design directions.
• Develop test plans and coordinate handoffs with subsystem leads (electrical, optical, microfabrication, software, vacuum, cryogenic).
• Establish strategic team plans with milestones, gates, dependencies, and partner handoffs.
• Own programmatic execution: track progress, allocate resources, prioritize work, manage risks and opportunities.
• Mentor, coach, hire, and develop engineers and scientists and conduct performance assessments.
